Project Brief:

Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 for bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh received the President's assent on March 01, 2014.The Act requires the State of Andhra Pradesh to initiate activities related to the creation of successor states including the apportionment of assets, liabilities, employees, contracts etc., between the two successor states – Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

To facilitate this exercise, this website(Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation) developed by Center for Good Governance (CGG) provides relevant information on the AP Reorganization Act 2014; Committees constituted by the Government for the purpose; Gazette notifications; circulars; and memos for the departments, forms/templates to be filled by the departments and other day-to-day updates. This website also helps the departments upload information pertaining to key action areas on the departmental login and helps the senior officials to regularly monitor the progress in preparatory activities.

Benefits/uses of the application:

  • This centralized system made easy to capture and consolidate information from 36 Secretariat Departments; 189 Heads of Departments; and 247 other Govt. Institutions.
  • The application has information on 15,77,083 current files and 9,84,055 disposed files and the details of 5,01,634 movable assets; 43,084 Govt. Vehicles; 68292 Immovable assets and 2,16,148 Agreements.
  • This system hosts all the information related to AP Reorganisation ACT, 2014 at one place which includes – circulars, GOs(Government Orders ) Acts, Guidelines, Office Orders, MoMs (Minutes Of Meetings)and Presentations.
  • The entire process of determination of cadre strength, calling for options, receipt of representations, indicative, tentative and final allocation of state cadre posts and personnel was done with enhanced speed, accuracy and transparency.
